Emergency Valve Releasing to Prevent Major Water Supply Disruption

Cutlass Technologies was called to respond to an emergency burst water main in Milton Keynes. The valve closest to the burst was seized in the open position, preventing normal operation.

Closing the next valve along the main would have resulted in loss of water supply to approximately 8,000 homes, with significant financial and operational consequences.

Using our specialist valve releasing technology, our engineers were able to carefully release the seized valve in situ. The valve was fully operational within 5 hours of receiving the call, preventing major disruption and ensuring the water supply was maintained.
